Finding a new job can be hard at the best of times, but it’s even more challenging for people with mental illnesses and disabilities. They can often lack some of the key employability skills that many employers are looking for, so it can be very unmotivating when applications are rejected.
NDIS participants have a lot to offer, though, and can be a valuable asset to many businesses. It is sometimes just hard for employers to see this from a first impression at an interview. We offer participants assistance to access and maintain employment. This involves learning new employability and life skills, as well as actually going out and applying for jobs.
Our carers are experienced in working with a variety of different medical conditions and have the ability to see talent and strengths in everyone they work with. We truly believe every participant is more than capable of finding and maintaining a job. It’s just about finding their skills and working with the right employers.
