Frequently Asked Questions
We are here to serve you 24*7 and clear all your queries.
What is the NDIA?
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is an independent agency. Its main role is to implement the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). And if you are eligible for the NDIS, the NDIA will work with you, your family, and carers to help and identify the supports you need to live your life and achieve your goals.
Who controls my NDIS funds?
You do! Your NDIS plan tells you, how much funding you will receive for each support but it’s up to you to decide, how your funds are managed. You can choose to nominate the NDIS, a registered provider or someone else you trust to do it for you, or you can manage it yourself. With the NDIS you’ll be able to control over how, when and where your supports are provided.
Can I get more funding under the NDIS?
NDIS focus is not the amount of dollars you get, NDIS focuses on making sure you receive the supports you need, to help you achieve your goals.
Will I get less or more support under NDIS?
You may be provided with more support if it’s deemed reasonable and necessary by the NDIS, that is if your needs are not being met. Therefore, before the first NDIS meeting, it’s very important to spend some time thinking, making sure that all your needs and where life could be improved ahead are written down.
